Overview

To get started, you will need to ensure you have created a map and have uploaded your media. For help with this step, please see these articles:

Section Title

Step 1: Upload Data or Select an Existing Data Set

  1. Open the layers panel in your new map.

  2. If you haven’t already uploaded your media, upload it into a new folder.

    • The upload will continue even if you close the upload media pop-up.

    • Alternatively, you can wait for the upload to complete.

Step 2: Request Processing

  1. Right-click on the folder containing your image and select Request Processing.

    • This action will open the processing request form.

Note: To process to a set boundary, you can upload a KML file under advanced settings. This will produce mapping output with neat edges and will save you from clipping your orthomosaic at a later stage for presentation. (Click here to see an example)

You can generate a KML on our map view with the polygon tool.

A) Using the polygon tool, draw a bounding area around your drone images

B) Right click the layer in the menu and export as KML

C) Upload your KML into the processing form

Step 3: Populate Processing Details

  • Define the types of outputs you want for the data set.

  • You can request multiple processing jobs with different settings on the same data set if needed.

  • If you have an Ultimate plan (or are opted into the enterprise solution), presets with your standard settings will be available.

  • Otherwise, use the custom option to define your requirements.

  • Output Options:

    • Ortho:

      • Select this output if needed and define the GSD (cm/px).

      • If selected, you will have the option to add a point cloud.

    • DTM:

      • Select this output and define the GSD (cm/px).

    • DSM:

      • Select this output and define the GSD (cm/px).

  • Additional Settings:

    • Rolling shutter speed.

    • RTK (if available).

Step 4: Review Processing Summary & Cost

  • The payment summary will calculate the total cost based on:

    • Number of images in the data set.

    • Image sizes.

    • Your subscription plan.

  • Free Plan Users:

    • Confirm to continue to the payment screen, where you will be prompted to use an existing payment method or add a new one.

Step 5: Confirm

  • Click Request Processing to add the processing job to the queue and close the window.

  • While processing:

    • Your images will be georeferenced on the map as small icons (see below)

    • Processing times vary depending on the project size.

Step 6: Processing

  • Once settings are verified, the processing job will begin.

  • When completed, you will receive an email notification.

Step 7: Review Outputs

  • Access your outputs from various folders within the map view:

    • Orthophotos and hillshades can be toggled on or off.

    • Outputs will also be available in the Layers panel for download.
