How to add multiple workspaces and invite users

With Birdi you can support multiple brands or clients by having multiple workspaces for your data. This article explains how to set up multiple workspaces with branding from your Birdi account.

Supporting multiple brands is only available on certain Birdi plans.www.birdi.io/pricing


Add additional workspaces

To add an additional workspace to your account please follow the below steps:

  1. In the top left corner select the dropdown arrow next to the Birdi logo or your workspace name

  2. Select + new workspace

  3. Give your workspace a name

  4. Click confirm

It is important to note that all additional workspace on your account are on our Free Plan and can only have one additional paid seat (organisation owner)

This should be your main contact at that organisation. You can however have as many guests as you need and either yourself or the owner can invite them to join.

If the organisation owner requires additional functionality, wants to invite more team members as paid users ect they will need to upgrade the account to a Team Plan.

You will not lose access to the account as the creator and are still able to place the relevant data into the workspace.


How to invite a user to a new workspace

To invite a user to a new workspace you need to ensure you are in that environment:

  1. In the top left corner select the dropdown arrow next to the Birdi logo or your workspace name

  2. Select the workspace name you wish to invite a user to

  3. Select invite team member from the top right

  4. If this is your first team member you will be able to invite them as the organisation owner (Paid seat) included in the plan

  5. If not you will only be able to invite guests

  6. Fill out the invite team member form with a name, email, phone number and role type

  7. Click send


Some limits to be aware of

  • The organisation creator has full access to the workspace, this includes processing requests, team management, billing and subscription.

  • All new workspace will be created on a Free Plan.

  • A new workspace can only have one additional paid seat (An admin or an organisation user).

  • Only the creator or admin of the workspace can upgrade the account if needed.

  • A creator can remove an admin from the account.

  • Your additional workspaces must have unique names.


Editing additional brands

As the workspace creator you can edit the name from the branding page

Note: The organisation owner will have full access to update this also.

  1. Ensure you are in the workspace you would like to edit

  2. In the top left corner select the dropdown arrow next to the Birdi logo or your workspace name

  3. Select the workspace name you wish to edit

  4. Select settings

  5. Select customisation

  6. Update the workspace name

Note: You are unable to delete additional workspaces at this time. Please contact us via chat if you wish to remove a workspace from your account.


Customise your additional brand styles

As the workspace creator you can update and display the organisation name. The branding (adding of a logo) is locked to the individual paid account.

Note: The organisation owner will need to upgrade to a paid plan to have access to this.

  1. Ensure you are in the workspace you would like to edit

  2. In the top left corner select the dropdown arrow next to the Birdi logo or your workspace name

  3. Select the workspace name you wish to edit

  4. Select settings

  5. Select customisation
