Now that you've created your first map, you're ready to upload your data!

Steps:

  • Navigate to the Layers panel and click Upload Media in the + Add layer dropdown menu

  • 2. Select the files you want to upload - If you upload a group of photos, a folder will automatically be created for them.

    • Depending on how much data you're uploading, it could take a little while! Go make a cup of tea, perhaps read some articles over on the Birdi blog, then pop back and check on your upload.

    • Once your data has finished uploading, you'll be able to see it all in the Layers panel within the folder.

Tip - You will need to ensure your geo locating is turned on in the device settings.

  • Ground-based imagery are displayed on the map via a circle icon.

  • With ground-based imagery, we cannot determine the orientation of the device when images/videos were taken (unlike drone data - where the icon shows the orientation of the drone when images were captured).
