Birdi 2.0 is designed to handle a variety of geospatial data formats to ensure a comprehensive analysis and visualization experience. Below is a guide to the supported formats and their respective capabilities within the Birdi platform.

3D Models

  • Supported Formats: .obj, .fbx, .las

  • Note: 3D models in .obj and .fbx formats are currently not visualized on the map view. This feature is in development and will be available in future updates. The 3D viewer is only available if your 3D model is processed by us.

Images

  • Supported Formats: .jpg, .jpeg

  • Usage: Standard image formats are fully supported and can be used for visualizing and annotating imagery.

Orthophoto / Raster

  • Supported Formats: .tiff, .ecw

  • Usage: Orthophotos and raster images can be visualized on the map view, providing detailed aerial and satellite imagery.

Vector

  • Supported Formats: .shp, .kml, .geojson, .dxf (if it has an associated .prj file).

  • Note: Formats such as .dwg, .dgn and non-georeferenced .dxf files are currently not visualized on the map view. Support for these formats is in development and will be added in future updates. You can convert .dxf and .dwg to a shapefile for visualization, by following the instructions in this article.

Pointcloud

  • Supported Formats: .las, .laz

  • Usage: Pointcloud data formats are supported, allowing for the visualization and analysis of 3D point data from laser scans.

Raw Image

  • Supported Formats: .raw

  • Usage: Raw image formats are supported for detailed image analysis and processing.

Reports

  • Supported Formats: .pdf, .doc, .txt, .xls, .csv

  • Usage: Various report formats can be uploaded and accessed, supporting diverse documentation and data analysis needs.

Video

  • Supported Formats: .mp4, .mov

  • Usage: Video formats are supported for playback and integration within the platform.
