  1. Create a map in Birdi

  2. Create an objective: Mapping & 3D model

  3. Draw a KML on the map view

  4. Download the KML from the objective

  5. Insert your SD card into your computer

  6. Copy the KML over to the SD card

  7. Remove your SD card and insert it into the controller

  8. Select the flight plan and import from KML (From the SD card)

  9. Select the KML and import it

  10. Select mapping mission

  11. Select edit on the plan and setup the preferences

    1. Example: Take off, altitude, terrain following, flight speed, course angle

    2. A user can set-up and save flight plans for the next time

    3. Update the overlap and any additional settings (Lidar)

    4. Recommended Settings:

      1. All images should be in JPG format

      2. All images must have latitude, longitude, and altitude in the GPS EXIF data

      3. All images should be facing the area of interest.

      4. All images should have significant overlap (70-80% front overlap and 50-60% side overlap)

      5. The recommended flight height is around 150-200 feet (or approx 45-60 meters)

      6. The flight path should be set up in a single grid format

  12. Save your flight plan

  13. Upload your flight plan to the drone
