As a pilot you will be sent a job request through the platform and a notification via email with a link to jump in and review the capture request.

  • Start by selecting the capture request requiring review

  • The pole assets are being issued to you as Shapefiles. These files will enable you to visualise the location of each of your target poles. The poles will be broken up into smaller shapefiles that will be reflected in the missions on the BIRDI Platform.

If there are any issues during capture or post capture acceptance of the data we are asking all participants to use the Pole ID in any correspondence that is produced. BIRDI is keen for each pilot to use whichever software they prefer to visualise and track the poles and this will form part of the feedback process of the trial.

For those operators who do not have a preferred visualisation software you can consider using QGIS that has both a free desktop and mobile app offering that makes visualisation relatively easy.
