By overlaying multiple elevation models, our advanced algorithms create detailed difference grids, highlighting changes in terrain, structures, or landscapes.
Monitor and track changes over time, assess environmental impact, inspect infrastructure, manage land resources, and respond to disasters swiftly.
In this article we will explore how to create difference gird:
How to create a difference grid?
First you will need to ensure you have DTM’s (Digital Terrain Models) that have been processed at different points in time.
Select a map
Navigate to the reports tab
Select Grid Difference Tool
Select the first DTM and second one you would like to compare to
Set the color scheme
Set the color range in meters
Select Create
The difference grid will generate on our server and when complete appear on the layers tab in the map view. Depending on your settings it will display the material that has changed over time.
Example:
Red: Displays the material that has been removed
Green: This is material that has been added
White/ Grey: No change
