The Severity scale has been created as part of the asset assessment tools. It is primarily used to associate a severity to a fault, defect or area of interest when creating an asset assessment report.

This article will walk you through creating your custom severity scale and highlight where this is used in the assessment flow.

Step 1: Access the severity scale

Once logged into the platform, select Inspection from the side navigation and then Severity scale

Step 2: Creating your scale

Firstly, you may have a scale on how you currently rate your faults, defects or area of interests and you can start to update the fields to match.

  1. Update the text in the provided field

  2. Add additional categories by selecting + Add another category

  3. The maximum amount of categories is set to 10. Should you require more please contact support via chat.

Alternatively if you do not you could leave the defaults in place and revisit this page at a later date.

Step 3: Updating the colours

The colours are used during the report as the bounding box colour when highlighting a fault, defect or area of interest. It is best to use a darker/ bright colours to ensure it stands out.

Example:

Step 4: Saving

Once you have edited your severity scale ensure you click save on the bottom right. After you have done this you will be able to use it in your asset assessment.
